Promoting Cultural, Business and Educational Exchange between US and China

News and Happenings at ACIF Updated February 3, 2012

2011 turned out to be quite a busy time for ACIF, as we geared up to take on many exciting projects while expanding on our existing programs. In 2012 we expect to launch more new projects as well as still maintain high quality training programs and services to our clients worldwide.

Professional Training and Exchange Programs: We provided training for dozens of delegations both from Chinese government as well as private sector clients throughout the whole year. We have hosted delegation from Zhejiang, Shanghai, Yunnan, Shanxi, Shandong, and many other provinces. The range of training topics spans widely across many industries including healthcare, labor and union rights, corporate auditing, education, etc. In addition to attending training sessions at universities and institutes, our delegates also visited many government agencies, top corporations, NGOs, and think tanks throughout the US. By visiting these organizations, our delegates were able to further understand their training topics via their observation and discussions with the staffs. Our training programs were so successful that many of our training programs were even reported in public media in the US.

In 2012, we look forward to providing training programs to Chinese delegations from an array of industries and government agencies nationwide throughout the whole year. If your organization is interested in participating or provides training in these professional exchange programs for our Chinese delegations, please contact Joanne Wang, our director of Professional Training and Exchange Programs at joannew@acweb.org

New Program: ACIF is excited to launch our first ever Medical Observership Program this November 2011. We will host 20 physicians from China to participate in a 2 months observership program in Washington DC. For additional information, please contact us at info@acweb.org

Education Exchange Program: ACIF proudly announces its partnership with the School of Overseas Education at Soochow University. This partnership will enable ACIF to help colleges and universities of the two countries to offer dual degree and certification programs to college students from China and the US. If you are a school interested in working with us, please contact Dr. Jim Li at jiml@acweb.org

Student Exchange Program: ACIF is proud to present our exclusive Winter and Summer Camp program for Chinese students in 2011. We have brought several Chinese students groups aged 9-17 for our 14 day winter and 21 day summer camp programs where traveled across the USA, visited ivy league universities, enrolled in a week long English as a Second Language learning while staying with American host families, not to mention creating lifelong lasting memories at Disney World, and visiting the State of Liberty and the national monuments. In 2012, we are expecting more Chinese students visiting the USA. If you would like to consider becoming a host family for our students and located in the Washington DC metro area, please contact us at: info@acweb.org

Arts and Cultural Exchange: In addition to organizing a 80 member performing group formed exclusively by Chinese primary and secondary school students who toured the US with their musical performances in the summer of 2011, we are also excited to gearing up to host our first Chinese artist exhibit in the spring of 2012 and several musical and dancing performances by Chinese students in the summer of 2012. We will be bringing arts from a diverse group of upcoming artists from China who are eager to showcase their artistic talents in the US.
